Happy Birthday to ME!

Hey everyone!! Today is my Birthday! MY 21st Birthday! I can't believe how fast I've gotten to 21! I remember entering University at 18 thinking it would be a while before I got here, but really it just seems like time has flown by without me realising one bit. I've made it though and plenty has happened in this year of being 20. I can't wait to get to more milestones, though it also means I'm getting older. Hopefully older and wiser hahaha.

I'm actually quite proud that so many of my goals for myself has come through by this time. It was a lot harder to make happen then one would think. Not everything went as planned, but a lot has went well, and I thank God for that. I'm in my final year of university and about to start on a new part of my life. I'd like to thank all my friends and family (especially my Dad) for their support of me, not only this month or this year, but my entire life. Those people who have stuck with me for every, those who I feel like they have been there forever.

Thank you also to you my online supporters and fellow blogger and YouTubers!

I probably am going to blog my evening, right now I' m doing work for a presentation tomorrow and painting my nails for tonight haha.

Until next post!

(Late) Back to School Lookbook

Hey all! I actually thought I had posted this video here ages ago, until I looked into my posted and realised, there's none for this.

As I was asked, I created a school lookbook back in August for Back to school, however when classes started in September, I hadn't the time to edit right away. But I made sure to put aside some time and edited the heck out of this video. Honestly I suck as the posing and being fun while showing off the clothes for videos hahaha. I guess I'll have to get better at it, but it is awkward standing there twirling for no apparent reason lol. Anyway here is the anticipated video.

For school comfort is key and I am usually a jeans and Tee shirt girl, very simplistic and easy to throw on when you're in a rush, but in this video, I should you some of my more thought out looks (some of these I've actually worn to school).  (also I forgot to say I'm not much of an accessories person, I hardly ever buy any).

What I wore:

Outfit #1

Blue Ruffle Collared top- Bridgetown
Striped stretch cotton Skirt- H&M
Purple Snakeskin flats (old)- Kenneth Cole

Outfit #2

DIY Denim vest (old)
Basic White Cami- Forever21
Grey Knit Shorts (old)
Graffiti Sneakers (old)- AirWalk (Payless)

Outfit #3

Nautical Zippered stripe shirt (old)
Basic White Cami - Forever21
Grey Knit Shorts (old)
Beige Flip flops- Old Navy

Outfit #4

Hooded shirt-dress- Volcom (Pacsun)
Basic white cami- Forever21
Black leggings- Bridgetown
Purple Snakeskin flats- Kenneth Cole

IF you have any more outfit suggestion videos, or even style suggestions, I welcome them in the comments!

Oxblood for Fall 2012

This colour has been popping up just about every where. It's a new take on the classic fall red or burgundy. A rich statement colour which personally I think the name is gruesome. I think this colour would only be trendy for fall and winter, unlike tango tangerine and minty green which has become staples in the wardrobe of many style gurus, bloggers and just about everyone.

If I wanted to be a part of this new trend, I'd definitely pick inexpensive pieces which may not last a lifetime but, you won't be stuck with the colour years down the line trying to figure out what you were thinking.

As you could probably tell, I am not in love with this trend, it's more my style to wear a darker lip colour rather than clothing items in maroon hues if I want something fall-inspired. Anyway I put together this office-appropriate outfit, momentarily inspired by the colour.

Oxblood Inspired Me

What do you think of Fall's new colour? Would you dare to wear it or rather stick to darker dramatic make up for Autumn?

Casual College Fall (outfit)

Hey all just a a quick outfit for you guys!

I had a dream this one time and I'm sure in that dream I saw this really nice patterned skirt  and top like this..
HAHA got you there didn't I?

I was actually at school one day and this girl passed me in the beautiful patterned skirt, and I fell in love with it. Then later that same day, if I remember correctly, a light cardigan triggered me to match the two in my head. What do you know, I went on polyvore and found a pretty nice patterned skirt, definitely not as pretty as the one the girl worn, but I really do love the colour of the cardigan.

If it were Fall in Barbados (as we never gt a pronounced Autumn season), I could see myself sporting this on a warm (not hot or nippy) day. Including the heels! I actually am in love with those and the bag. I used to have a bag with a similar style and stopped wearing it years back. It's funny to see the style has returned.

Sadly, as a science student, this outfit is not as practical as it would be for others, but I still love it to pieces! What do you think? Would you change anything about it?

Coloured Bottoms: From Spring to Summer to Fall 2012

I remember in the Spring and Summer, coloured bottoms were all the rage, now this trend continues to Fall 2012.  As seen on the  Mercedes Benz Fashion Week runway, Anna Sui in particular, had her models rocking jewel-toned tights and matching frocks. I loved seeing the contrasting outfits, with blue dresses and green tights.

I doubt I’ve ever be as daring as to wear a fully contrasting combo such as those pictured, but I definitely would like to try the coloured bottoms style. (Yea, I still have nabbed the perfect pair of bright bottoms yet)

What do you think of coloured bottoms taking a turn for Fall? Would you rock the contrasting combos as seen with Anna Sui?

Flying by with the time.. Enter OCTOBER!!

It's amazing just how fast September has left us. I remember making my last video in August thinking that by week 2 in uni, I'd be able to make another video with an update and post my school outfits video. But as usual September has trolled me, in not the usual of ways with just school, but it's been a very busy, up and down month. Regardless, I'm super excited that it's OCTOBER!!

At one point last month, I was actually so out of it, that I just would not vlog a thing. But luckily, October should be a good month and I really want to make some Halloween tutorials. I have some looks in mind, just to try them out, film and post the tutorials.

I don't think I'll be filming a September favourites, might set me back in posting the Halloween videos, but I will try to post my back to school outfits video. Which I am proud to say that I stepped out of my comfort zone and wore a couple of these outfits to school! Yay Christina!! Of course, these outfits are nothign too elaborate, but like I said in my last update, I'm a comfy jeans and T-shirt kind of girl, though I love to dress up when I'm going out.

For the first part of September I wore my new favourite eyeliner, the Coastal Scents liquid liner which I used in my Back to School tutorial. But for the Rest of the month, I've been keeping it very low-key and easy. Mascara, eyebrows and a bit of highlight, somedays I even use blush. I've found one I really like that's a subtle colour and makes my skin look glowy.

I have an idea for a nail tutorial , however I have to get back a nail polish a friend borrowed before I can do it; may be filmed by the end of October possibly. I really want to get the Halloween Tutorials done first.

I remembered posting an Asian drama for September, but the sad news is, I've been so busy I haven't gotten the chance to watch it myself. I will still try to have another somethign posted for October though. It may be something shorter for people like me who are being bombarded with lab write ups, assignments and tests haha.

ANDDD finally, I've started to compile my Fall fashion posts. Yes I know we don't get fall here in Barbados, but that doesn't mean you can't be in the know or not like the current trends. Never know could be an added tropical twist to them. :)

So look out for more posts coming soon! Oh yea, I didnt tell you why October's so special.. hehehe
it's the month of my birth!! I'm going to be 21 this year ( 28th October in case you were curious)! Time surely flies :)

Anyway, Good bye September, HELLO October!!
